FAQ: Functionality

Following are frequently asked questions regarding the features and functionality of our web packages. If you have additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

What are pages and posts?

Pages are usually fully editable, but static. They are best used for main navigation pages such as About Us, Contact Us, Projects, Case Studies, Products and Services. Posts are usually time-sensitive, can be categorized, and most often refer to blogs, news, events and press. Your website includes unlimited pages and posts, along with intuitive ways to organize this content you’re creating.

Can I edit my own content?

Yes, this a strength of our Web Packages. You have an easy-to-use, intuitive interface for all of your content, including images, plus formatting such as bold, italic, hyperlinks and lists. You will never again have to absorb the hidden costs of outsourcing your content changes to your designer.

What if we want site visitors to comment?

Settings for comments can be set site-wide. For example, you can allow comments on blog posts, but not on your main pages. You can also allow comments for any single page or post with the click of a mouse, as this screenshot shows:

What if I want multiple authors, and the ability to moderate all of their posts?

You can assign the following User Roles – you can use the “Contributor” role to moderate their posts before they go live.
* Administrator – somebody who has access to all the administration features
* Editor – somebody who can publish posts, manage posts, manage other’s posts
* Author – somebody who can publish and manage their own posts
* Contributor – somebody who can write and manage their posts but not publish
